Orcs did not learn the ways of the Hunt from the trolls, merely remembered it. Since before becoming warriors, they were all hunters. Baldr 02:12, 30 October 2007 (UTC)
- Perhaps you overlooked it. But you haven't seemed to notice that there are two definitions of term hunter in the RPG, and to some extent in real life.
- Hunting refers to a survival skill or hobby or profession of killing game for food. It also refers to RPG fighting class. The two definitions are very different.
- Almost anyone can learn to hunt, and become a "hunter", just check out how anyone (of any class) can become hunters for the Nesingwary's Expedition. This doesn't mean they become specialized combat class known as a Hunter however. That is an entirely different thing altogether, it is a fighting class, that is almost the equivalent to the Elven Rangers but with different set of combat skills.Baggins 03:43, 30 October 2007 (UTC)

A little project[]
If I may, I'd like to put down a table such as what we have on the race pages, outlining the starting attributes of each race in particular to the class. I'd like to do this for every class page if I may. Meneldir
Concerning Tauren Firearms[]
Lands of Mystery (I think) clearly states that tauren abhor firearms. So why do tauren hunters in WoW start with the very weapons they abhor? Xavius, the Satyr Lord (talk) 18:43, 22 June 2008 (UTC)
Problem I see with the page[]
I'm not sure if I've posted my concerns in the past about this page -- so I will just note them now.
With the possible exeption of Blood Elves, all the races on this page have extremley vague explinations to them. I'm not asking for a novel -- but is there nobody out there with the capability to find more information than just Dwarves, Tauren, Night Elves, and Trolls are all just "natural hunters" who 'enjoy the hunt' ... I kind of want a little more than knowing who does and who doesn't enjoy the thrills of the hunter.

- I have to agree. I love coming to the [Class] races page, which in fact the lore does have great impact (along with these pages) on what race I end up making a new class alt. I feel that out of all the 'Class races' pages out there, the Hunter is, unfortunately, the most pathetic. Honestly, WoWWiki is full of some of the best and brightest and all they can scrap up and gather together is that 90% of the hunter races do it just because they "enjoy it" and are "naturals"? Common! Of course we know what races are natural hunters and who enjoys the hunt.
- I'd love to update these sections myself, and from the time of your post being so long ago, and still no changes, if I don't do it it might not get done. Alas, I honestly have no knowledge on the particular subject however I strongly encourage anybody who does to please fix it up and add more to it.

- Hmm, well the problem often times comes down to lack of info from the RPG books and Blizzard. While it would be fun to insert stuff, it would need a citation. Hunters are a common class, and least talked about really when it comes down to it.... and I wouldn't say the Hunter page is the most pathetic.. it contains more than the paladin one. =P User:Coobra/Sig4 04:00, September 6, 2010 (UTC)

Default Pets[]
Shouldn't there be a listing of the default pets for each hunter race here? I'd add it myself but I don't know them all. Just boars for orcs and spiders for undead. EldritchWarlord (talk) 21:09, February 13, 2012 (UTC)
