What will happen with these after the Burning Crusade? Will they become the "new epics" for level 70?

Unlikely. An item's level and quality are not related. Not only are Legendary items of the highest possible quality (and therefore better than other items of the same level), but the Legendary items currently in the game are also of impressively high level. [Sulfuras] and [Thunderfury] are both level 80 and [Atiesh] is level 90, making it (IIRC) the highest-level item in the game. --DarkRyder 16:36, 12 October 2006 (EDT)

There will be many new legendary items in the Burning Crusade like there are many epic items in Stratholme compared to SM. [Ashbringer] for example, will be the reward of a looooooong quest chain.

Don't forget that [Atiesh] will be used in Karazhan in the Burning Crusade so people would want that aswell. --Angellic 09:18, 28 October 2006 (EDT)

Illidan is easy??[]

 * Before The Burning Crusade, all of the Legendary items required
a complicated and arduous quest line in order to get them. As of
The Burning Crusade, the Warglaive of Azzinoth has been found to simply
 drop off of Illidan Stormrage.

This text gravely misuses the term "simply drop off". The questline for attunement to the Black Citadel requires completing most of the content in The Burning Crusade, and actually dropping Illidan himself is no small task. This phrase desperately needs "editing for tone." Einstein9073 21:20, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

Merge[]

Anyone opposed to merging Legendary items into this article? Seems sort of superfluous to keep them separate. Plus, combined, they would make for a stronger article overall. --Imperialles 07:46, 5 November 2008 (UTC)

Elementium and....?[]

They said: "There are also few idengridients of legendary quality".
Elementium is one, but what aer the others? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Siika (talkcontr).

Some of the items used to create Thunderfury, Sulfuras, Atiesh, Val'anyr, and Shadowmourne are legendary. Old Man Tellah (talk) 08:34, September 14, 2010 (UTC)
