Centaur[]

I wonder how these will fit with the rest of the centaur lore, if they are centaur related of course. -- Ravenore, the Necroshadowmancer 20:58, 15 August 2007 (UTC)

They are just built like them...--User:Sandwichman2448/Sig 20:59, 15 August 2007 (UTC)

My guess to their origin is they're probably titan related. I base this off two things; They use rune magic, and their size. Most known titan creations(giants) are fairly huge, other than the earthen. The fact that they're evil doesn't preclude this, many titan creations turn out bad due to various factors; corruption by an outside source most usually, but some like the sea giants just turn out down right mean on their own.Tweak the Whacked 08:25, 5 May 2008 (UTC)

I remember when the magnataur article didn't even exist. I thought I was the only player who knew about them or something. From my first glance of magnataurs on Warcraft III I thought they were gentle, even tranquil giants who possessed great wisdom. How wrong can you get? Anyway, I also think they are titan-related. Perhaps some experiment that went wrong, like the troggs. But that is less likely than other theories, because the titans probably would have destroyed or sealed them away like they did the troggs. I agree that they likely just turned out mean after the titans left, partially due to their somewhat meager intelligence and harsh environment. --Mesethusela (talk) 18:43, 23 June 2008 (UTC)

Perhaps they are a gigantic, ancient offshoot of Cenarius' children.  Bill I AM BILL AND I AM A TAUREN HUNTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (talk - contr - web) 23:17, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

Perhaps a pit lord had a fling with a mammoth or giant during the War of the Ancients.--User:Sandwichman2448/Sig 23:35, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

XD, perhaps, Sandwichman, you never know. --Hey, I'm Gerrom 18:36, November 21, 2009 (UTC)

Arcane[]

Does anyone else think such a primitive race like these who only have have contact w/ arcane using races is to eat have classes such as arcanist and inscriber? I mean even trolls have reason since they met the Forsaken and saw it just like the Arathi King (can't remember his name), as a necessity but view it w/ suspicion. Mr.X8 04:11, 15 September 2007 (UTC)

Most of their casters are shaman that are primitive even by the standards of most other shamanistic races so I'd have to agree with ya there, although any race that lives on the same continent as the blue flight is going to pick up a few tricks, if for no other reason than proximity. Xlel 23:26, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

In the rpg, arcanist is the main class that is broken down into four vairents, mage warlock necromancer and inscriber. Inscribers deal with rune magic, and the magnataur have inscribers.Tweak the Whacked 08:25, 5 May 2008 (UTC)

Rogues[]

How could they be rogues, I mean if they're like a few tons, it would be impossible not to hear them creep up on you.  IconSmall HighElf Male Mr.X8 Talk Contribs 04:25, 15 December 2007 (UTC)

"Due to their size, it is difficult for magnataur to become rogues, but a rare few exist; they are incapable of the kind of stealth most rogues enjoy, but specialize instead in setting traps and ambushes."--Baggins 04:57, 15 December 2007 (UTC)

Cleanup[]

Hello, im a new face at Wowwiki. I don't realy konw where to start, but decided to do something here. I think this page needs a cleanup, among other things the Appearance-bit. I'm a newbie, so I don't know if i can go ahead and change. Chaos of Warcraft Chaos of Warcraft (talk) 14:51, 15 June 2008 (UTC)

Be bold in updating pages. While you may be a newbie, you're welcome to edit the page and, if there's anything bad/wrong with your edit, it can be edited and you may learn from what you do. User:Gourra/Sig2 15:20, 15 June 2008 (UTC)

Annihilan-Magnataur Connection?[]

Looking at random articles like I do often, I noticed that the magnataur in the borean tundra screenshot looked very similar to a wingless Annihilan, due to the size, tusks and Cenarius-ish build. Just look at the two pictures. Any possible connection?  Bill I AM BILL AND I AM A TAUREN HUNTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (talk - contr - web) 20:43, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

I was just about to start a thread on this. What a rip! This is just like the Taunka looking like white Tauren!  IconSmall HighElf Male Mr.X8 Talk Contribs 01:45, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

Female Magnataurs[]

Male and female Magnataurs currently use the exact same model. Is that worth noting? I would have thought they were just there as a placeholder but WotLK has now been out quite a while and they remain the same. Would it be worth noting that they have no visible physical differences? Heljak (talk) 11:52, 4 February 2009 (UTC)

It's like dwarves, the ones with smaller beards are the females ;)IconSmall FireFireMasterIconSmall Pandaren(IconSmall BloodElf MaleT-CIconSmall PitLord)

Similarity to Pit Lords[]

Anyone else notice that they look very similar to pit lords? Could Pit Lords be demonic Magnataur? An avatar of Archimonde did go to Northrend at one point, after all. Sedurut (talk) 16:35, 9 August 2009 (UTC)

I think that might have been Sargeras, but people have noticed the similarity. The "Annihilan-Magnataur Connection?" section talks about this. It was in the article at one point, but has since been removed.--User:Sandwichman2448/Sig 17:18, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
Maybe like many other, it's only a model re-used/re-worked?
