Hardest?[]
This seems like the hardest holiday achievement that is actually required for the meta/title. I play the odd battleground but that's rarely. I can see this being the one to destroy my violet proto dreams :( --Lyco 02:09, April 4, 2010 (UTC)
- It is. I've been trying for three years now and this is the only achievement I have left for the meta. This year was the same as the last two-- knotheads take special delight in ganking anyone with an orphan out. (And even your own team is no help. There are some kids who are so BG-addicted that they consider Achievers to be a drag on their attempts to win.) - Well thankfully I actually managed it. Arathi Basin and Warsong Gulch were the easiest, I got lucky on Alterac Valley as I managed to be the only alliance person in a tower full of horde who weren't attacking, just taking it in turns to assault the tower (yeah I "perverted the bg" ah well) those three I got done in my first match/try of each one on the first day of the event and was actually quite hopefull. Then it was Eye of the Storm. I tried all week with no luck, my battlegroup is notorious for the horde kicking our asses everywhere except Wintergrasp and they did just that every match without fail. Of course it didn't help that no matter what 99% of people on my team ran for the flag, leaving a maximum of 4 people including me capturing towers. And I was considering giving up to be honest, and I've also been going through one of those patches where WoW feels a little stale a boring so I was considering quitting too. Then the day before the event finished I was going with a mate more for moral support and tips while he did them. We battled our way through Arathi Basin and Warsong Gulch, got to Eye of the Storm and came across what I'd been hoping for. A game where the Horde weren't raping us and like 7 people including me and my mate on our team managed to cap the flag (we lost the game anyway lol) so that was me done. However my mate didn't manage it, he was left with Assaulting a tower in Alterac Valley, he tried and tired, going so far as me trying it on his account while he slept through the early hours before the event ended. No luck. So I really did get lucky with the horde I found doing the achievement.
