It's probably no secret by now that the great city of Dalaran moves to the Broken Isles in World of Warcraft: Legion, hovering right above the Broken Shore. We took some time today to scamper around the in-progress city, grabbing screenshots of pretty much every place there was - and boy, is there a lot! There were a few things that caught our eye:
- The center of the city is now taken up by Aegwynn's Tower. This structure is largely incomplete, with only grey, unfinished surfaces. Inside, though, is a portal that leads to the Portrait Room, the lower level of which houses portals to some notable areas: Caverns of Time, Shattrath, Wyrmrest Temple, Dalaran Crater, and Karazhan. From what we know of some of the artifact weapon quest lines, these could be in place for ease of travel for players securing their artifacts.
- The Underbelly looks like it's in line for a makeover of sorts. The descent looks different, and the Circle of Wills has a large building within it with a floating line of text that reads "TEMP BUILDING". Also, there's a warlock or mage behind it channeling... nothing. We'll have to wait and see. There are also two rare mobs: Splint (a throwback to Master Splinter) and a large shark, Segacedi. We couldn't figure out how to get to the shark, but there's a screen of Splint below. Both are level 100.
- Thrall and Aggra can be found standing in front of the well. Thrall lets us know that the battle on the Broken Shore went terribly wrong, and the Alliance and Horde are at each other's throats (gasp!).
We've put the pics up first where we saw changes. Pics after that may contain changes but, since it's been a long time since we've been to Dalaran, we invite people to give them a quick glance to see if they can spot any changes
