Want to help more? Join a team!

As a community it is easier to get large amounts of maintenance and community projects done in teams - we like to encourage each wiki-user (also known as WoWWikians) to join one or two. Check out Community teams for more info! --Fandyllic (talk)

WoWWiki isn't an absolute democracy, but many decisions are voted on. Also, we encourage members to vote on site policies. See a list of votes in progress or a list of policy proposals. --Fandyllic (talk) 1:36 PM PDT 19 Jun 2006

Adding new item pages

Please use the Help:Item articles as a template for adding new item pages. Just adding a Stub and category is not helping with adding content to the Wowwiki. If you have any questions, just leave them on my Talk page. --Dracomage 08:46, 6 July 2006 (EDT)

Redundant pages

I think you can just go ahead and do a redirect for those redundant pages. No one will miss em, and redirects should cover up any link breakage. Good work though, the enchanting cat is notorious for redundant pages. There are even redundant categories of enchanting. =_= Pzychotix 16:02, 7 August 2006 (EDT)

Armor sets

Hmm... I do like the new style of the headers that you put up, which add a nice splash of color, but I must say I did prefer the old wall of text that allowed jumping between sets of different classes. It conflicts a bit with the old style of being able to compare among all the classes and the bonuses they received. Don't know if there was a discussion on this though.

One thing that annoys me though (something out of our control) is the fact that for the PvP sets, bliz has different sets for Horde and Alliance, so we can't exactly just link to one of them. Hum.

Pzychotix 13:26, 22 August 2006 (EDT)

I have ideas on how to jump between class sets by updating Class set article with {{Settableall}} and then including a link back to Class set (probably in the {{Settableall/Footer}}. In theory it's one extra jump than before, but should help with wrapping issues {{TierArmor}} presented and gives more space to include additional class set links. I also have ideas on addressing how to link directly to the PvP sets by using Alliance and Horde, but I haven't finished testing it yet. Umbra 13:50, 22 August 2006 (EDT)

Engineering Schematics/Recipes

What is your reasoning for changing the categorization from Engineering Schematics to Recipes such as on Dark Iron Bomb? Jaxdahl 12:36, 30 August 2006 (EDT)

Category consistency for all professions will improve navigation templates {{Engineering}} and in boilerplate comments Help:Item articles. Umbra 12:52, 30 August 2006 (EDT)
I'm okay with it. It's only a minor case of semantics, and the category mentions it's called schematics -- Kirkburn (talk) 13:54, 30 August 2006 (EDT)

Old categories and redirects

When you deprecate a category, please just mark it for speedy deletion as per WoWWiki:Category policy#Old categories and redirects, otherwise people will keep placing new articles in the deprecated category -- there's nothing telling them it's the wrong one!

Thanks!   --Mikk (T) 04:40, 15 September 2006 (EDT)

Maybe add more than external links

Hi Umbra... I'd like to start by saying I'm impressed by all the new articles you are adding. I was wondering, though, if you could add at least a little note to some of them, like "<npc_name> can be found in <some_place>" or "<item_name> usually drops from <some_mob>". Any little note will help give some context to the flurry of articles. --Fandyllic (talk) 6:12 PM PDT 20 Sep 2006

Last few edits

We're trying to get of pages with "Formulas:" in the front, so would you mind just leaving that page at "Weapon skill"? Also, {{attack table}} should be at the bottom of the page, not the top. :o --Sky (t · c · w) 03:44, 30 August 2007 (UTC)

As Sky mentioned, the nav tables should be at the bottom. --GRYPHONtc 17:12, 30 August 2007 (UTC)

Warsong reward pages

I liked the style in which you made the pages for the rewards (all versions in one page), are you planning to edit the rest of them, and perhaps AB rewards too, in that fashion, or should i cantinue that? --Hurax 11:25, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
