Vara Balnir was the mother of Jarim, a childhood friend of Prince Arthas.[1]
After murdering his father, Arthas returned to the Balnir Farmstead to revive Invincible and discovered that the Balnirs were dead: killed by the very Scourge that he was now a part of.[1]
