The Vault of the Wardens serves as a prison for those the night elf Wardens capture and is one of the dungeons of Lua error in package.lua at line 80: module 'Module:Inlinegfx/img_link_data.json' not found. World of Warcraft: Legion. It is located within the Broken Isles; prior to the events of Legion, Gul'dan was shown before an imprisoned Illidan Stormrage, presumably setting him free. Players begin their hunt for Illidan here.

The Vault is a max-level dungeon. Players enter with the intention of finding out why the Legion launched their attack against the Vault and why Gul'dan wanted Illidan's body.^[1]
