Warcraft III: Reforged is a remastered version of Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos. It was announced at BlizzCon 2018, where it was referred to as a "new chapter in the history of Warcraft III". Warcraft III: Reforged was given a release window of 2019. Visitors at the convention were able to play a demo of The Culling chapter in the updated version during the show.
Two versions of the game will be available - Standard and Spoils of War. The Spoils of War Edition unlocks four unique hero skins, along with additional items for other Blizzard games, including a new Hearthstone card back and a meat wagon mount for World of Warcraft.

In addition, crossplay will be supported between Warcraft III and Warcraft III: Reforged. Both games will continue to receive balance patches and gameplay updates. The new World Editor includes hundreds of new triggers, LUA support, new tools for importing models, and more.
Reforged retells the story of Sylvanas Windrunner in her journey to become the Queen of the Forsaken, sees Thrall lead the Horde to Kalimdor, and Arthas Menethil as he culls the city of Stratholme and joins The Lich King. Experience the journey of Illidan Stormrage and the emergence of the Burning Legion. Witness pivotal events as experienced by the Orcs, Humans, Night elves, and the Scourge.
