Winterax Hold is the former home of Winterax tribe of ice trolls in Alterac Valley. It is located in the mountains around Snowfall Graveyard. Due to an avalanche, most of the Winterax Hold was blocked off from the rest of Alterac Valley with Patch 1.8.
Korrak the Bloodrager and a few of his followers survived the avalanche and managed to defend the Snowfall Graveyard a bit longer. However, at the release of patch 1.10, they left Alterac Valley looking for greener pastures.
