When World of Warcraft was released for sale, it came as a regular version (basically the game manual and some game CDs) and a special Collector's Edition.[1]

- 280-page hardcover coffee table book, The Art of World of Warcraft.
- World of Warcraft Soundtrack CD.
- Cloth gameworld map with metal clasp.
- Exclusive in-game pet for every character. Choice of Zergling, Panda Cub, or Mini Diablo.
- 10-days free for a friend (via voucher with special CD-key).
- The game manual.
- Blizzard Store pamphlet!
Where do you get it?[]
The short answer: you cannot.
Blizzard made a limited number of copies of the Collector's Edition and will not make more. They are completely sold out in stores (where it retailed for about $80).
A Collector's Edition was also created for the UK. The CD-keys are not compatible with versions meant for other markets.
Some copies can be found on eBay or similar online markets from time to time, but these have largely inflated prices. Also, there is no guarantee that their CD keys are unused.
